If anyone needs assistance, feel free to post in here or even PM me directly, I've spent quite a bit of time building, breaking, and then rebuilding TTW installs, so I'll do my best to help you out, and I also have a few friends who have spent even more time with the TTW and modding in general, so I can call on them as well.Yeah, sorry about the collar beeping arrow thing. Stuff like TTW tends to run on pretty moderate hardware at the base level, and gives you a lot of options that aren't included with the console versions. I hope this is helpful for anyone who has been debating over going back and playing/modding the older Fallout titles. Just a note, he does use Mod Organizer, which is quite a bit different than NMM or FOMM, but tends to offer a more transparent experience in the long run when you use it in addition to LOOT and WryeBash.

Most mods will work fine with a little tweaking, although some will require a bit of tweaking to get operational. The YT tutorial above was my go-to for building my TTW install, but then I branched out and installed other mods as well. Given the stability issues of Fallout 3 on later versions of Windows, not to mention the GFWL implementation that was never removed, this is a great way to provide a more stable experience and to bring 2 great games together under 1 title. You (preferably) start in the Capital Wastelands, and eventually make your way to Union Station, where, after a short quest line, you're able to take a train to the West (New Vegas). TTW adds wild wasteland items to the Fallout 3 world, if you take the "wild wasteland" trait when you create your character. TTW makes some changes to leveled creatures such as super mutants and raiders, to be consistent with Fallout New Vegas. Some of these items are hand placed, some are on inventory lists for merchants and containers. TTW distributes any Fallout New Vegas items that were not present in Fallout 3 throughout the Fallout 3 world, such as doctors bags. The "sawed off" and "double-barrel" shotguns now use 12 gauge rounds. The Fallout New Vegas "riot shotgun" still uses 12 gauge. The "combat shotgun" now uses 20 gauge rounds (most military shotguns use 20 gauge).

TTW removes the shotgun shell ammunition, as Fallout New Vegas uses separate 12 gauge and 20 gauge ammunition. 32 caliber ammunition, as it is not present in Fallout New Vegas.
